Flute Bio

American-born, German-based flutist, Roldon Brown has been performing since his debut, on percussion, at Festival International de Louisiane, at the age of five. He initially studied flute under Dr. Andrea Kapell Loewy at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette; then later under Thaddeus Watson at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main. He was deeply influenced by his studies with Mathieu Dufour, Robert Langevin, and Jennifer Gunn during his years at the Orford Music Academy, and Gary Schocker in New York.

In 2015, he was appointed principal flutist of the Jordanian National Orchestra, and professor of flute at the National Music Conservatory of Jordan. Preceding this appointment, he served as substitute flutist with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist, he has had numerous television and radio broadcasts throughout the USA, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
